The Campfire

A 40-minute, one-on-one conversation between two entrepreneurs who believe in relationships—

but don’t want to waste time on surface-level chats or disguised pitches.

Pull up a chair

The Campfire is a structured conversation between you and me.

We each bring one business topic. You receive 15 minutes of protected attention around yours. Then we switch, and I receive the same around mine.

During your turn, you tell me:

  • What is happening

  • What you would like help moving forward

  • What kind of help would be most useful

You might want questions, brainstorming, honest observations, possible resources, useful connections, help narrowing the issue, another perspective, or some combination of those.

I listen and respond according to what you have asked for.

Then we rotate.

What makes it different

The Campfire is not a coffee chat with no real purpose.

It is not networking.

It is not an interview.

It is not free coaching or consulting.

It is not a discovery call.

It is not a sales call from either of us.

It is a real conversation with enough structure to make our time useful and enough room for us to think together like actual people.

How the 40 minutes work

We will take a few minutes to get acquainted and settle in.

Then you will have 15 minutes around the fire with your topic. Before you begin, you will set an alarm so neither of us has to watch the clock.

When your turn ends, we will switch. I will set my alarm and bring my topic to you.

At the end, we will take a few minutes to gather anything useful from the conversation and close without rushing.

Either of us can gently redirect the conversation if we wander too far from the topic or the kind of help requested. The goal is useful movement, not solving an entire business in 15 minutes.

This is the exact same structure I used when I facilitated a paid mastermind. It's impactful. At this time, I do not have any firm plans to facilitate another, but if I did, it would be by invitation only - and those invitations will go to people I've had fabulous Campfires with.

What you can bring

You can bring something you are creating, deciding, navigating, questioning, or wrestling with in your business.

It does not need to be polished. You do not need to prepare a presentation or explain your entire business.

You only need enough clarity to tell me:

  • What is happening

  • What you would like help moving forward

  • What kind of help you want from me

The narrower the topic, the more room we will have to do something useful with it.

The agreement around the fire

We both agree to:

  • Give each other equal, protected time

  • Listen before responding

  • Offer the kind of help the other person requested

  • Avoid pitching, prospecting, or turning the conversation toward our own services

  • Redirect gently when the conversation wanders

  • Treat useful as enough

You may leave with a clearer question, a new possibility, a useful resource, language for something you could not quite name, or a next step you want to take.

You may also simply leave glad that you had one thoughtful conversation with another entrepreneur.

Sound Like Your Jam?

*Before you choose a session time, I need to disclose that, as the mother of a child with complex medical needs and a slew of impending appointments with specialists, if one of those appointments comes available at a time that conflicts with our Campfire talk, I will have to reschedule with you, and I may not have much notice. Please be sure you are okay with that before you book.
